Most likely the grounds for exclusion from any type of official release. The tracks here are an eclectic collection that run the gambit from somber to goofy. Throughout all, however, everyone seems to be lose and having a good time. A party atmosphere surrounds some of the tracks. It is surprisingly quite for being an analog recording from such an early show. Dylan is talkative between a few of the first songs of each set in the slow, stoned voice that typified this tour. The first disc contains the acoustic show. The first song cuts in, and the tape speed runs off for a second. The mic windscreen (pop filter) does not work well throughout the show. On Visions Of Johanna, virtually every line has a word that pops. It's not as bad on Fourth Time Around, which contains a momentary feedback. It returns on each "Baby Blue". On the solo of Desolation Row, Dylan plays a series of triplets on the guitar in double time, and blows a slide on the harp to compliment it for a strange effect that probably worked better live than it does on tape. The second disc is the electric set. The music is well mixed, but the vocals completely overpower it. Of course, because of the nature of the harder singing on this set, the pop filter is much more problematic. Dylan introduces Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues with a bizarre faux meaning of the song. The pop filter becomes so ineffective, that on some verses of LeopardSkin PillBox Hat, every word pops The highlight of the electric set is an erie, laid back Ballad Of A Thin Man that makes use of dynamics, and a play between the vocals and organ. All in all, this is a great recording. The sound is bright and full, and as good as the best know tapes.

Disc one
She Belongs To Me
Fourth Time Around
Visions Of Johanna
It's All Over Now Baby Blue
Desolation Row
Just Like A Woman
Mr. Tambourine Man

Disc two
Tell Me Momma
I Don't Believe You
Baby Let Me Follow You Down
Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues
LeopardSkin PillBox Hat
One Too Many Mornings
Ballad Of A Thin Man
Positively Fourth Street

Sydney Stadium, Sydney, Australia April 13, 1966

You can both stream and download these! First, click the link below. Right
click the files and click download to save. Dylan starts his now famous mumbling ruse before the introduction of LeopardSkin PillBox Hat, as the blue collar audience becomes a little loud with their heckling. Ballad Of A Thin Man is the highlight of the night. Glasgow is interesting tracks of songs that Bob was working on that were recorded for use in the film Eat The Document. The sound quality is amazing. The Sheffield show is perhaps the best of the tour. The quality is incredible, and the performance can move you to tears. The Gaumont adds a warmth and depth to the overall sound that is lacking at many venues, and Bob pours his heart into every syllable. This set represents some of the finest of the tour and, arguably, the best of this entire collection.

Disc one
Liverpool:
Tell Me Momma
I Don't Believe You(omitted)
Baby Let Me Follow You Down
Just Like Tom Thumb's Blues
LeopardSkin PillBox Hat
One Too Many Mornings
Ballad Of A Thin Man
Like A Rolling Stone
Glasgow:
What Kind of Friend Is This
I Can't Leave Her Behind(omitted)
Does She Need Me

Disc two
Sheffield:
She Belongs To Me
Fourth Time Around
Visions Of Johanna
It's All Over Now Baby Blue
Desolation Row
Just Like A Woman
Mr. Tambourine Man
LeopardSkin PillBox Hat
One Too Many Mornings
Ballad Of A Thin Man*

Odeon Theatre, Liverpool, UK May 14, 1966
Glasgow Hotel Tape, Scotland May 19, 1966
Gaumont Theatre, Sheffield, UK May 16, 1966
*Odeon Theatre, Birmingham, UK May 12, 1966

You can both stream and download these! First, click the link below. Right
click the files and click download to save. Period. This particular CD release is the one to own. Few if any other releases of Finjan can compare to this gem. Some of the other releases have edited out the in between song talking, mistakes, and false starts (which sometimes seem as long as the songs themselves). Nothing is edited here. The CD captures the moment the recorder was turned on and left to run. This has always been a nice quality soundboard recording, but Yellow Dog has brought it to pure perfection. The audience is pin drop quiet. So much so that this could be a studio recording. The tape is so clean that several times you can hear the guitar case snaps etc. when the stage hand opens it to retrieve harmonicas and a capo. Turn up the stereo, and suddenly Dylan is in the room with you.

Death Of Emmett Till
Stealin' (Trad - Memphis Jug Band arr)
Hiram Hubbard (Trad)
Blowin' In The Wind
Rocks and Gravel (Brownie McGhee)
Quit Your Lowdown Ways
He Was A Friend of Mine (Trad )*
Let Me Die In My Footsteps
Two Trains Runnin' (McKinley Morganfield)
Ramblin' On My Mind (Robert Johnson)
Muleskinner Blues (Jimmie Rodgers)

You can both stream and download these! First, click the link below. Right click the files and click download to save. Instead they are home made (recorded via a microphone going into a tape recorder placed in front of the television speaker during the broadcast). The resulting tapes were of only mediocre quality, marred by a high noise level and a thin sound. For this release, however, the label has done an absolutely astonishing job. On close inspection, you're most likely listening to an exemplary remastering of the best currently circulating tape. But at first, I thought I was hearing the long rumored professional soundboard recordings of these shows. Virtually all of the intrusive white noise is gone. The sound is loud, clear, and well defined; but it still sounds natural... not artificially cleaned up with clinical digital clarity. The great performance (now enhanced by this superb quality) sounds better than ever. This is a lovely release from a historical point of view, a wonderful snapshot of 1965, and (at least until such time that those master soundboard tapes turn up) a must-have disc.

First show
Ballad Of Hollis Brown
Mr Tambourine Man
Gates Of Eden
If You Gotta Go, Go Now
Lonesome Death Of Hattie Carroll
It Ain't Me Babe

Second show
Love Minus Zero/No Limit
One Too Many Mornings
Boots Of Spanish Leather
It's Alright Ma (I'm Only Bleeding)
She Belongs To Me
It's All Over Now, Baby Blue

You can both stream and download these! First, click the link below. Right click the files and click download to save. The date of March 11, 1962 is listed on the back cover, though this is most likely a re-broadcast date. The original radio show broadcast could have been as early as February. History is a bit fuzzy here. This long lost radio show is in perfect quality. It is complete with wonderful live-on-the-spot renditions of the above traditional and Dylan songs, as well as fascinating conversation with a young, as yet undiscovered talent. Bob relates, hilariously, the eponymous title of his soon to be released first LP, and so much more. There is conversation in-between each song that is priceless.
